2002 Taylor Liberty Tree: Without a doubt the most desirable Taylor guitar ever made! Since this Limited Edition was first created, we have only seen two that have come up for sale previously owned. This guitar is #154 of the limited production of 400 created from the last remaining "Liberty Tree", a Tulip Poplar that stood in Annapolis, Maryland, and was one of the legendary trees that the patriots used to gather under to plan the American Revolution. To quote Bob Taylor "I have never before undertaken a guitar endeavor with such reverence." This unique guitar has a hand select abalone inlaid Sitka Spruce top, with a Mahogany neck and fret board. An inlaid “Declaration of Independence and early American flag unfurl across the fret board extension and top.
