Used! Dearmond M-75 Blue Top: (G) Love the sound and feel of those Gretsch Duo Jets but are a little short on funds? Well you'd better stop, look and listen the this gem. When these were released the Dearmond name was held by Guild. Thus the solid mahogany body very closely resembles the old Guild Aristocrat or Bluesbird in shape and size. The mahogany neck also has the feel and shape of some of those old Guilds. Other features include bound rosewood fingerboard with block inlay, chrome hardware including fixed tune-o-matic bridge, Dearmond/Bigsby vibrato tailpiece and a pair of USA made Dearmond single-coil pickups. These great sounding pickups are as close to the original '50s Dearmonds as you can get and are worth the price of admission on their own. Although it shares roughly the same specs as the Supro Ozark, these models bearing the National name are few and far between. The body of the National #1122 is a mere 11" across and is made of double-bound mahogany. The neck is also mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard, dot inlaid position markers, archtop style adjustable rosewood bridge, nickel trapeze tailpiece and floating vinyl covered pickup attaced to the neck, volume and tone controls. Don't be fooled by this guitar's small stature because it's got a full 25" scale length a tone that'll knock you on your @$$! Just In!! Zemaitis "Kirk Hammett" (exc) Every day our UPS driver Jason, roars up to our back door and swings open his truck doors and assaults us with his barrage of Heavy Metal music. Today, we were waiting for him. Our shipping manager, Rick said "Jason, come inside, I have something to show you" . When he saw this guitar, he fell to his knees, exclaiming. "Oh my God!! I recognize that... It's Kirk Hammett's guitar!! You guys rock!!!!" It's true. This is Kirk Hammett's (Metallica) very own Tony Zemaitis guitar. We have the cover of Guitar World Magazine showing him holding the guitar as well as a letter of authenticity as to it being his personal instrument.
