New! Stonebridge DS-33-SR Those of you who have visited our booth at the many Bluegrass festivals that we attend every year, have had a chance to see first hand what incredible guitars the Stonebridge flattops are. For the rest of you, you might make it a point to either visit the shop or drop by our booth at one of the festivals for an in hand experience. We think you'll be as impressed as we are with these fine instruments. Frantisek Furch, who is known for producing some mighty fine mandolins, has now turned his attention to improving his already fine guitars. In cooperation with a Swiss biological engineer, he has developed a method of 'aging' the top of a guitar using a biological parasite that removes the part of the wood that naturally disappears with age. The result is an instrument that sounds 10 years old straight out of the box! This Spruce top, Rosewood back & sides dreadnought is a beautiful example of science influenced natural wood aging.
