This is the guitar that departed from all other steel string guitars when Jean Larrivee started building steel string guitars in the early '70s. The body shape is unique, being neither jumbo nor dreadnought, but a wonderful esthetic shape that some would describe as an 'enlarged classical style'. The bracing is also a Jean Larrivee creation, which Jean calls 'asymmetrical parabolic' style.
