The Bros. have always had a warm spot in our hearts for G&L.
The legacy that Leo Fender began in 1946 has continued to be the soul of G&L guitars.
We pay special attention to the "Leo era" instruments that
Leo Fender and his partner George Fullerton produced prior to 1991,
as well as G&L Special and Limited Editions.
Many players and collectors firmly believe that G&L guitars are the best value
in a vintage or collectable instrument that are quickly rising in value & demand.

1984 G&L SB-1 Bass White: George was always adamant that the Father of the Electric Bass was Leo Fender. And while he gave full credit to Leo, his handiwork in body lines alone are quite apparent. This fine example is in White with black metal pickguard and Bi-Cut Maple neck with Ebony fingerboard. The headstock features the early "by Leo Fender" script decal. This is in excellent condition, and has the original hardcase. A tag for "Guitar Legends" display is in the case with George's hand written description with 1990 written, but crossed out changed to 1984 in different ink color. The serial number confirms this would be from the 1984 period. This appeared in George's first book "Guitar Legends ~ the Evolution of the Guitar from Fender to G&L" in the color section. Stock #UGC30527 photo
1986 G&L Broadcaster Black: I will never forget the first time George showed me this instrument in his home. He was very proud of the accomplishments of G&L ~ and the high acclaim that the G&L Broadcaster garnered was well deserved. This is the third one made ~ s/n 3 and is personally hand signed in the neck pocket by Leo Fender. Being one of George's personal instruments it is in excellent condition and even has the plastic covering on the pickguard, though the plastic has worn with time around the edges. While George had a strong affection for maple fingerboards, he chose Ebony on this model. All the original paperwork are in the original hardcase. The production tag is dated 5/1/86. This appeared in George's first book "Guitar Legends ~ the Evolution of the Guitar from Fender to G&L" in the color section. We also have photo's of George with this guitar in his home. If you ever wanted to own a piece of G&L History ~ this is certainly the ultimate choice. Stock #UGC30437 photo
1990 G&L ASAT Classic Leo Fender Signature Model Black & Gold: Simply stunning ~ this is a gorgeous instrument. The black body has a gold Leo Fender signature decal on the body (upper bass side). But that's not where the gold stops ~ ever appointment on this instrument is in gold. The pole pieces on the pickups, truss rod nut, gears, control plate, etc. George designed the ASAT Classic based on his drawings of a 1953 Telecaster but with the modern improvements that G&L had brought to the music world such as six saddles (gold) instead of 3, Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups, as well as George's patented Bi-Cut neck. This example also features a dual fulcrum tremolo with the rare Leo Fender fine tune vibrato adjustments. The fingerboard is Indian Rosewood with a 7.5" radius. With hardcase. The production tag is dated 10/25/90. This appeared in George's first book "Guitar Legends ~ the Evolution of the Guitar from Fender to G&L" in the color section. Stock #UGC30438 photo
1990 G&L S-500 Leo Fender Signature Model Sunburst: This is definitely a "time machine" model. It even has the original stickers on the pickguard! Excellent condition with tags, this beautiful Sunburst finished S-500 features three MFD single coil pickups and Dual Fulcrum tremolo and 3-ply white pickguard. It has a maple neck and maple fingerboard with locking Sperzel tuners. The Leo Fender Signature decal is in white on the upper bass side horn. Complete with hardcase. The production tag is dated 5/20/91. This appeared in George's first book "Guitar Legends ~ the Evolution of the Guitar from Fender to G&L" in the color section. Stock #UGC30441 photo
2006 G&L 25th Anniversary Model Limited Edition hand signed by George Fullerton: In celebration of G&L's 25th Anniversary, the G&L Custom Creations team designed this special guitar to feature Leo Fender's first G&L pickup design ~ the Magnetic Field Design® humbucker which was originally used in 1980 in the F-100. They appeared again wound to different spec's in the George Fullerton designed short scale G-200 model that used a mahogany body. Thus it was fitting that the 25th Anniversary model reflected these two industry ICONS by blending features from several models which they had so often joined together in designing. Only 250 of this model were made ~ and this one bears George's personal signature on the back of the guitar (which he had also done on a few 25th Anniversary guitars for G&L as well). This is a quarter-sawn mahogany body with front & rear contours in a custom blend finish in an ASAT based designed. The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard in a 12" radius and 1-5/8" nut. A striking instrument from the "G" of G&L's collection. With hardcase. Stock #UGC30528 photo

1990/1991 G&L ASAT Bass Signature Model Cherry Sunburst: We haven't had a chance to remove the neck to check both the body and neck date stamps ~ but based on the serial number this was made in late 1990 or early 1991 of the Leo-Era G&L's. Gorgeous Ash body in a Cherry Sunburst finish and the white "Leo Fender" signature on the upper bass horn which is not only cool ~ but collectible in most G&L afficianado's minds. This particular bass balances extremely well and the Maple neck has a Rosewood fingerboard which is very playable. Twin MFD Humbuckers with the Tri-Tone active/passive switching that sound phenomenal! Comes with the G&L Tolex hard case. $1000 Stock #UGB31884 PHOTO
1983 G&L L-2000E Bass Refin Dark Blue: Here's a hard to find L-2000E with gold hardware and s/n on the neckplate (making it a latter 1983 model). Twin MFD humbuckers with active switching and non-original hardcase. A great playing bass with a ton of performance. $900. Stock #UGB30928
RARE! 1984 G&L SC-3 "RARE Hardtail Version!!" Solid Red: The Leo-Era SC-series are highly sought by players and collectors due to the superior sounding pickups, maple bodies, great tone and just plain mojo! Of the SC-3 models, the rarest is the HARDTAIL version. In all of our decades of collecting and selling SC-3s ~ we're aware of only 12 hardtails that exist. The G&L collectors site (www.guitarsbyleo) in their registry only shows 9. It's believed by many that less than 25 exist. This one is in beautiful solid red with minimal wear from it's 26 years of living. There is a slight discoloration that's about 2" long to the left of the saddle lock bridge (you can see in the pictures). The bi-cut neck is hard rock maple with black dot fret markers. The original hardcase with all the paperwork, including literature, spec sheets, warranty card, etc. are all there. Of all the SC-3 hardtails we've seen ~ this one is in exceptional condition. The body is dated June 4, 1984 and the neck is dated August 8, 1984. The neck is thin, but not razor thin like some SC-3s in the late 1980's we've seen from the Leo-Era. Like many of the non-pickguard versions SC-3's ~ the sound is exceptional and the hardtail design adds to the sustain. So if you're looking for one of the best sounding SC-3s that's also one of the rarest, then this is the guitar for you! With original hard case. $1800 Stock #UGP31898 photo
RARE! 1984 G&L SC-3 "RARE Hardtail Version!!" Sunburst: This is the rarest of all SC-3's from the Leo Fender Era at G&L. First it is estimated that 5 Sunburst Hardtails exist, however only 2 examples are documented and registered at the G&L Fan Site. The maple body seems to bring the MFD single coils to life and the sound is everything you could expect! From blues to rock this has it all! The maple neck has a nice round back and plays extremely well. Action is fast on this example and of course it plays as well as it sounds. With original hardcase. $1700 Stock #UGP31898
1987 G&L SC-3 Black: The "Darth Vader" of G&LS ~ all black body, all black neck and all black headstock with an Ebony Fingerboard with chrome hardware and no noisy breathing. :) Neck dated 9/24/87, body dated 8/1/87 weighing in a a mere 7.6 lbs. with hardcase. 1990 G&L SC-3 Sunburst with Matching Headstock! The SC-3 is one of our favorite guitars (which is why we've had them in our own collection for decades). This one is in Sunburst (a hard to find color) with the even rarer matching headstock. This white pickguard version has a trio of MFD pickups that sound really sweet. The neck is thin and very fast playing. With Dual-Fulcrum tremolo and trem bar (gasp! Usually these are lost! Cool!). With non-original hard case. $1150 Stock #UGB26560 PHOTO
1985 G&L S-500 Black: Very cool, all Black S-500 with the black crinkle 2-piece pickguard/control plate. Dual fulcrum tremolo, three single coil MFD pickups for superb tone that only a MFD can deliver. The ebony neck has some real nice streaking as G&L used natural (unstained) ebony. Assorted nicks and handling marks showing it's been played for 23+ years. This early S-500s are highly sought and getting harder to find! Missing tremolo arm (common unfortunately for this era of G&Ls!). Weight 8.4 lbs. With hard case. $1400 Stock #UGB27740 photo
1985 G&L S-500 Clear Red: Very seldom do we come across these Maple necked versions in Clear Red with matching headstock. The rectangular shaped MFD single coil pickups are the reason for the strong reputation and superb tone for which they are legend. Favored by collectors is the black crinkle aluminum pickguard and control plate. Of course it also has the Leo Fender patented Dual Fulcrum tremolo (with the vibrato arm missing). With gigbag. $1000 Stock #UGB30954 photo
1987 G&L Skyhawk "Sickle Headstock" White aged to Cream: We've always dug the "Sickle Headstock" G&Ls from the Leo Fender era. This one has the famous G&L Logo decals with "Skyhawk by Leo Fender" on the headstock. The previous owner replaced the pickups with staggered pole vintage style pickups and does not have the original MFDs ~ however newer MFD pickups can be purchased and installed to restore it to original spec's. And of course the MFD single coil tone has no match! With hardcase. $875. Stock #UGL32116 photo
Used G&L ASAT Classic Butterscotch Blonde: Here's a classic in every sense of the word. Perhaps Leo's most famous creation was the '52 Telecaster (OK, some would argue here for the Stratocaster). But none the less, the classic Tele look has always been the Butterscotch blonde with the Maple neck and black, single ply pickguard. A classic look that has a classy sound too. This is the original Telecaster style guitar with the modern pickup improvements as envisioned by Leo when he and George started G&L almost 30 years ago. With hard case. $925 Stock#UGL32120 photo
Used G&L ASAT Classic Butterscotch Blonde: We have to admit it. We LOVE this look for the world famous ASAT. 2003 G&L ASAT Deluxe Tobacco sunburst: Where to start to describe this gorgeous instrument. The body has a Maple cap finished in a vintage style tobacco sunburst with the G&L wood "binding". The neck is some of the nicest birdseye Maple to come along in a long time. How does it sound? Powered by two Seymour Duncan humbuckers, this baby can produce everything form a smooth jazz tone to screaming Cream licks with the flip of a switch. This one does it all and looks s-o-o-o good doing it. With hard case. $1200 Stock#UGB12790 photo
Used G&L ASAT Deluxe Gold Sparkle: In talking with George Fullerton a couple of years back, he was explaining how he and Leo developed the first sparkle finish. "Well" said George " We really didn't know how to go about getting exactly what we had in mind, so we broke up a mirror into tiny pieces and mixed it in with the paint." Not to worry, there are no pieces of broken mirror glass in this version. (you won't cut yourself on the finish, not to mention those 7 years of bad luck). This example, which the boys in the shop are calling the "Bobby Ryan model" has a birds-eye Maple neck and a factory installed Bigsby tremolo too! With hard case. $1900 Stock#UGC30816 photo

New! G&L Bluesboy 3-Tone sunburst: THIS is what we had in mind when we first designed the Bluesboy. And the first one off the line looked just like this. A 3-tone sunburst with tortoise pickguard and neck with Rosewood fretboard. About 12 guitars later, they had Maple necks. We've been pleased that we have contributed to one of G&Ls most popular models. Sort of gives us a stronger connection to our friends George and Leo. The Blues Boy is a fabulous guitar, and may well become another icon in the continuing saga of G&L. With hard case. $CALL Stock#NGB32345 photo

The combination of the '55 Seth Lover humbucker in the neck and G&Ls advanced MFD single coil pickup at the bridge can do anything required. Don't be mislead by the "Bluesboy" name. 2000 G&L Comanche Black: Ahhh the famed G&L Comanche! A few years ago this won the "Players Pick Award" by Guitar Player magazine which was NO SURPRISE to those of us who have played this and experienced the wide ranging versatility and purity of tone. The Z-Coil MFD was said by Leo Fender to be his "pinnacle" of design in a guitar pickup. The are essentially a single coil humbucker but in an extremely unique design which is why he received a patent for the MFD pickup. This black bodied guitar has a pearloid pickguard with the Dual-Fulcrum tremolo. The back of the maple neck has some nice figuring and birdseye and the front features a rosewood fingerboard. Locking tuners keep you in tune when using the tremolo and of course it comes with the hardcase too! $950 Stock #UGB32012 photo
Used G&L Comanche Tobasco Sunburst: Ok, it's really Tobacco Sunburst, but according to one of my kids that's what they thought I said, plus it fun to see if anyone really reads the things we write. :) Seriously Classic Tobacco Sunburst finish with a trio of Z-Coil pickups in a pearloid pickguard. G&L's expansion switch allows not only the standard 5-way switching but also unique combinations of neck/bridge and all three pickups on at once.
