It is with deepest respect that we say goodbye to our very good friend

Mr. George Fullerton.

Thank you George for all you've done, you've made our world a better place.

We'll miss you!

Buffalo Bros.

The Bros. have always had a warm spot in our hearts for G&L.
The legacy that Leo Fender began in 1946 has continued to be the soul of G&L guitars.
We pay special attention to the "Leo era" instruments that
Leo Fender and his partner George Fullerton produced prior to 1991,
as well as G&L Special and Limited Editions.
Many players and collectors firmly believe that G&L guitars are the best value
in a vintage or collectable instrument that are quickly rising in value & demand.

All sales on Mr. Fullerton's instruments are personally handled by Tim.

Serious inquiries can be e-mailed directly to "guitarsontheweb@aol.com" for further details and photos.

1984 G&L SB-1 Bass White: George was always adamant that the Father of the Electric Bass was Leo Fender.  And while he gave full credit to Leo, his handiwork in body lines alone are quite apparent.  This fine example is in White with black metal pickguard and Bi-Cut Maple neck with Ebony fingerboard.  The headstock features the early "by Leo Fender" script decal.  This is in excellent condition, and has the original hardcase.  A tag for "Guitar Legends" display is in the case with George's hand written description with 1990 written, but crossed out changed to 1984 in different ink color.  The serial number confirms this would be from the 1984 period.  This appeared in George's first book "Guitar Legends ~ the Evolution of the Guitar from Fender to G&L" in the color section.  $2,500.  Stock #UGC30527 photo

1986 G&L Broadcaster Black: I will never forget the first time George showed me this instrument in his home.  He was very proud of the accomplishments of G&L ~ and the high acclaim that the Broadcaster garnered was well deserved. This is the third one made ~ s/n 3 and is personally hand signed in the neck pocket by Leo Fender.  Being one of George's personal instruments it is in excellent condition and even has the plastic on the pickguard, though the plastic has worn with time around the edges.  While George had a strong affection for maple fingerboards, he chose Ebony on this model.  All the original paperwork are with the original hardcase.  The production tag is dated 5/1/86.  This appeared in George's first book "Guitar Legends ~ the Evolution of the Guitar from Fender to G&L" in the color section.  We also have photo's of George with this guitar in his home.  If you ever wanted to own a piece of G&L History ~ this is certainly the ultimate choice. $11,000.  Stock #UGC30437 photo

1990 G&L ASAT Classic Leo Fender Signature Model Black & Gold:  Simply stunning ~ this is a gorgeous instrument.  The black body has a gold Leo Fender signature decal on the body (upper bass side). But that's not where the gold stops ~ ever appointment on this instrument is in gold.  The pole pieces on the pickups, truss rod nut, gears, control plate, etc.  George designed the ASAT Classic based on his drawings of a 1953 Telecaster but with the modern improvements that G&L had brought to the music world ` six saddles (gold) instead of 3, Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups as well as George's patented Bi-Cut neck.  This example also features a dual fulcrum tremolo with the rare Leo Fender fine tune vibrato adjustments. The fingerboard is Indian Rosewood with a 7.5" radius.  With hardcase.  The production tag is dated 10/25/90.  This appeared in George's first book "Guitar Legends ~ the Evolution of the Guitar from Fender to G&L" in the color section.   $8,500.  Stock #UGC30438

1990 G&L S-500 Leo Fender Signature Model Sunburst: This is definitely a "time machine" model as it even has the original stickers on the pickguard.   Excellent condition with tags, this beautiful Sunburst finished S-500 features three MFD single coil pickups and Dual Fulcrum tremolo and 3-ply white pickguard.  It has a maple neck and maple fingerboard with locking Sperzel tuners.  The Leo Fender Signature decal is in white on the upper bass side horn.  Complete with hardcase.  The production tag is dated 5/20/91.  This appeared in George's first book "Guitar Legends ~ the Evolution of the Guitar from Fender to G&L" in the color section.   $3,000.  Stock #UGC30441 photo

2006 G&L 25th Anniversary Model Limited Edition hand signed by George Fullerton:  In celebration of G&L's 25th Anniversary, the G&L Custom Creations team designed this special guitar to feature Leo Fender's first G&L pickup design ~ the Magnetic Field Design® humbucker which were originally used in 1980 in the F-100.  They appeared again wound to different spec's in the George Fullerton designed short scale G-200 model using a mahogany body.  Thus it was fitting that the 25th Anniversary model reflected these two industry ICONS by blending features from several models which they had so often joined together in designing.  Only 250 of this model were made ~ and this one bears George's personal signature on the back of the guitar (which he had also done on a few 25th Anniversary guitars for G&L as well).  This is a quarter-sawn mahogany body with front & rear contours in a custom blend finish in an ASAT based designed.  The neck is mahogany with a rosewood fingerboard in a 12" radius and 1-5/8" nut.  A striking instrument from the "G" of G&L's collection.  With hardcase.  $6,000.  Stock #UGC30528 photo

This once in a lifetime opportunity to own an instrument from an individual whose talents are responsible for many of the most famous instruments in the world is rare indeed.  They are not only prized due to their ownership, but are superb instruments that any player would find as a rare jewel to be enjoyed for years.

Be sure to see additional instruments from Mr. Fullerton's Collection in "Fender" and "More Electrics"

Vintage "Leo Era" G&L's!

1983 G&L F-100 Series II Sunburst:  Mahogany body with 2-tone sunburst finish.  Dual Fulcrum tremolo.  Twin MFD humbuckers.  Ebony neck.  Two small screw holes by the tremolo indicating a possible Roland pickup attached at one time.  Missing trem bar.  The Series II indicates it has a vintage style fretboard radius (7.5") on a 1-5/8" nut width neck.  Comes with gigbag.  Pictures to follow!  $900.  Stock #UGB30468 photo

1988 G&L SC-3 Yellow: Whoa! Not often you get a guitar that offers so many features ~ the least of which is the guarantee you'll be seen on stage with this intense Yellow color!  Heck, at worst it'll double as a night light in your bedroom!  Seriously, this is a great guitar (as all of the SC series were!) and many thought they were "student" models which is quite wrong.  What they were designed for, was to compete with the import models of the day (like Fender Squire) and offer a U.S.A. made instrument at an incredible price!  This has a trio of MFD single coils set in a black guard, with Leo Fender's heralded Dual Fulcrum Tremolo.  Locking Sperzel tuners, fast playing neck and it comes with a later G&L molded hardcase too.  $1,000.  Stock #UGB29476 photo BUY NOW

1985 G&L S-500 Black: Very cool, all Black S-500 with the black crinkle 2-piece pickguard/control plate.  Dual fulcrum tremolo, three single coil MFD pickups for superb tone that only a MFD can deliver.  The ebony neck has some real nice streaking as G&L used natural (unstained) ebony.  Assorted nicks and handling marks showing it's been played for 23+ years.  This early S-500's are highly sought and getting harder to find!  Missing tremolo arm (common unfortunately for this era of G&L's!).  Weight 8.4 lbs.  With hardcase.  $1,500.  Stock #UGB27740 photo

1985 G&L S-500 Clear Red: Very seldom do we come across these Maple necked versions in Clear Red with matching headstock. The rectangular shaped MFD single coil pickups are the reason for the strong reputation and superb tone for which they are legend.  Favored by collectors is the black crinkle aluminum pickguard and control plate.  Of course it also has the Leo Fender patented Dual Fulcrum tremolo (with the vibrato arm missing).  With gigbag.  $1,200.  Stock #UGB30954 photo

1987 G&L Skyhawk "Sickle Headstock" White aged to Cream:  We've always dug the "Sickle Headstock" G&L's from the Leo Fender era.  This one has the famous G&L Logo decals with "Skyhawk by Leo Fender" on the headstock.  The previous owner replaced the pickups with staggered pole vintage style pickups and does not have the original MFD's ~ however newer MFD pickups can be purchased and installed to restore it to original spec's.  The neck is thin and fast playing with a Rosewood fingerboard and locking Sperzel tuners.  Dual Fulcrum tremolo with trem arm.  Non-original tolex style hardcase.  $800.  Stock #UGB30414 photo

Customs and Limited Editions

2007 G&L "Phyllis Fender" Limited Edition #48 of 100 "Blondie" See-Thru Blonde: When the Bros. recently journeyed to the cold, rainy North, little did we know that not only would we be bringing back one of these very special Limited Edition G&L models, but that we'd actually be bringing home 2 of them! (We also didn't know that the BB van would need a new transmission when we returned either).  So, if you've a hankerin' for one of these, highly desirable instruments, this could be your best opportunity. With hard case. $1800 Stock#UGC30825

Used G&L 25th Anniversary Limited Edition Root Beer Mahogany: This is one of the famous and highly desirable 25th Anniversary models with the "root beer" all Mahogany body and Mahogany neck with Rosewood fretboard. Built on the ASAT frame, this has the F-100 style MFD pickups.  Only 250 of these were made for world wide production. With hard case. $1250 Stock#UGC30785 photo

Used G&L ASAT Classic Vintage Yellow: Another great guitar from our friends at G&L.  This Vintage Yellow ASAT Classic is built upon the heritage of it's founders George Fullerton and Leo Fender.  We remember how Mr. Fullerton related the story to the design of this model by taking the production drawings he had done for a '53 Tele and updating it with the 6-saddle bridge for intonation and the highly praised MFD single coil pickups. The bound body features a rear contour and pearloid pickguard.  While the bound neck has a birdseye maple fingerboard and Sperzel tuners.  This is a tone machine that hits the nail on the head with every note!  With hardcase. $1400  Stock #UGB30829 photo

Used G&L ASAT Deluxe Gold Sparkle: In talking with George Fullerton a couple of years back, he was explaining how he and Leo developed the first sparkle finish. "Well" said George " We really didn't know how to go about getting exactly what we had in mind, so we broke up a mirror into tiny pieces and mixed it in with the paint." Not to worry, there are no pieces of broken mirror glass in this version. (you won't cut yourself on the finish, not to mention those 7 years of bad luck). This example, which the boys in the shop are calling the "Bobby Ryan model" has a birds-eye Maple neck and a factory installed Bigsby tremolo too! With hard case. $1900 Stock#UGC30816 photo

New! G&L ASAT Special Deluxe Black: THE BEST LOOKING ASAT SPECIAL DELUXE WE'VE SEEN!  We get a LOT of G&L's in the shop, and since the inception of the ASAT Special Deluxe, we've had more than our fair share grace the walls.  This is (to us!) the best looking one ~ something about the cosmetics begs you to pick it up and play it.  Of course, once you hear the soapbar MFD's and wrap your fingers around the Rosewood fingerboard with the Graph-Tec nut you won't be letting go anytime soon.  With hardcase.  List $2,000. $CALL! Used G&L ASAT Special Deluxe Baby Blue: Help! Somebody tell me what the heck this is. I'm just the acoustic guy. They have me listing electric guitars because there are too many of them for John, Tim and Adrian to do. It sure is pretty though. The body is Baby Blue and is double bound. The Rosewood fingerboard is bound too. I was told to say that it has a Graph-tec nut, locking tuners and a tremolo bar. Must be something kinda special. With hard case. $1375 Stock#UGC30783 photo

Comanches

JUST IN!! 2000 G&L Comanche Blueburst: When the Comanche received the "Player's Pick Award" by Guitar Player magazine a few years back ~ no one was surprised by the accolades showered upon it.  The Z-coils have all the tonal clarity of the Magnetic Field Design (MFD) pickups ~ but in noiseless design.  Along with a 5-way switch, you get all the classic "Strat" settings, but also have an expander switch for neck/bridge combinations and all three Z-coils on at once for superb power chords. Leo Fender felt his MFD pickup was his finest work and the Z-coil the pinnacle of that design ~ so if you've never had an opportunity to play one, you NEED to do so!  The blueburst finish is on an Ash body with a pearloid pickguard and Leo Fender's patented Dual-Fulcrum Tremolo.  The Bi-Cut hard rock maple neck and fingerboard have a clear gloss finish with a graphite nut and locking tuners so you won't go out of tune in those big dives on the tremolo or when you bend the strings.  A superb instrument that has a well deserved following for sound, playability and pure performance. Of course it has the hardcase too!  $1000.  Stock #UGB29675

Used G&L Comanche Natural: You can't help looking at this beauty and not getting a huge case of G.A.S.  What's not to like? A natural finish body that shows off the wonderful grain lines of the wood exquisitely. A mirrored pickguard (Hey Tim: I can see my face in this guitar!). Outfitted with a graph-tec nut and locking tuners, this is one to take home and show Mom & Dad. With hard case. $1375 Stock#UGC30818 photo

S-500s

New! G&L S-500 Deluxe Cherryburst: WOW! When you have thousands of guitars in the shop, it's easy to walk by and not notice a guitar here or there as having just arrived ~ this one grabs your attention instantly  The striking flame maple top with the Cherryburst finish is gorgeous!  It was wise to make this beauty a "deluxe" as this model does not have a pickguard so you can admire the beauty of the wood fully.  Three MFD single coils are the heart the superb tones this offers and the Dual-Fulcrum tremolo floats effortlessly for the player to use.  Naturally, the S-500 has expanded switching so you can even do neck/bridge as well as all three pickups on for sounds beyond the typical.  The dark rosewood fingerboard plays little "buttah" (why folks use that expression? I mean would you really want butter for a fingerboard?? Ok with syrup if it were a waffle fingerboard....but not on rosewood...but I digress)..and the plek'd frets and superb on this #1 neck (12" radius, and 1-5/8" nut).  The headstock also sports locking Sperzel tuners and a matching Cherryburst headstock.   This beauty is INCREDIBLE!  With hardcase included (of course!).  List $2,160.  $CALL!  Stock #NGB23488 photo
