2002 Roberto Kremer Model 1M: The eminent Mr. Kremer (see meet the masters) turns his attention to the Hauser style of classical guitars in order to create this magnificent sounding instrument at the request of a close, personal friend. The Spruce top is very tight grained and flawless, the Maple back & sides contribute elegant overtones, with increased projection. The tone is rich and robust with a huge voice. Nicely maintained in its original case. There is none finer. With hard case. BuffaloBros. price: $5500 Stock#UGC27951 photo

1978 Ramirez F1: Hand crafted in the Ramirez shop by master luthier Julian Moraga Rodriguez. Spruce top and Cypress back & sides with clear tap plates. The sound is robust and powerful. 1967 Marcelino Barbero Classic: Even though this instrument bears the name of one of the most renowned instrument makers, Marcelino Barbero, it was in fact not made by him. At one time, a rather less than scrupulous distributor in Chicago had the marketing idea of creating labels to put inside guitars that took the names of famous makers and players in order to bolster sales. So it came to pass that these same folks took advantage of the burgeoning Japanese classical makers and had "replica" guitars made by some of the more outstanding makers that bore these special labels. This instrument, most likely made by Shiro Arai (founder of Aria Guitars) is but one of many such guitars. However, despite its somewhat dubious parentage, it is an exceptional instrument. A 40+ year old hand crafted guitar with very fine wood selection. Truly worthy of some of the praise heaped upon the original. The guitar has a wonderful voice, nicely balanced, and is capable of a variety of tones. Definitely worth playing. With hard case. $1500 Stock#UGB31570 photo

New! Candelas Classical SM: The legendary  Candelas family of guitar makers have been producing finely crafted instruments from their shop in Los Angeles since 1948. Previous to that time, they had been handcrafting instruments first, in Torreon, Mexico and later in Tijuana. We first met the family in the early 1960s even before Tomas Delgado, the current proprietor was born. Tomas has continued in the family tradition offering quality instruments, hand made at affordable prices. A crisp, clear response is the hallmark of this hand made instrument from Tomas Delgado. Sitka Spruce top and South American Mahogany, this is a potent combination that will excite all who hear it. A finely crafted guitar that, in our opinion, is vastly underpriced. With hard case. $2250 Stock#NGB33848

1967 Condal: Crafted by "Guitarras Condal" in Barcelona. The Condal shop produces instruments in a wide variety of price points. This example is the top of the line and was made by the master himself, as opposed to the student grade instruments produced by one of his apprentices. The Cedar top combined with Brazilian Rosewood back & sides produces a very sonorous voice, with subtle overtones that cause the instrument to sing. Some have even referred to the tone as "aristocratic" which may be a result of hearing the strong fundamental, which is robust yet still allows the beautiful overtones to be heard. This is an instrument you will be proud to play. With hard case $3500Stock#UGB30355 photo

1970 Paulino Bernabe style classical: This is a fine sounding Spruce top, Rosewood back & sides classical that bears the label of Paulino Bernabe. However, Senor Bernabe did not make this guitar. It was made by another very talented luthier and later in life received this label from a previous owner. Obviously Spanish made with that  aggressive tone that indicates the hand of a Spanish maker, probably in Madrid, judging from the 'fingerprint" of the luthier evident in the construction. With hard case. $850 Stock#UGB34746

The top is solid Red Cedar with Mahogany back & sides finished in a high gloss black. The most outstanding feature of this guitar is that in addition to a smooth cutaway, the neck joins the body at the 14th fret. In addition, there is a Nanoflex Piezo pickup installed under the bridge saddle. BuffaloBros. price: $499 Stock#NGB34689

Used Manuel Rodriguez Classical: This guitar came to us from the original owner who had it for 40 years and barely played it, judging from its near mint condition. A minor set up was all it needed, then it began to stir like a waking giant. It has a huge sound. This is not a factory Manuel Rodriguez, with a printed signature label that were distributed by Fender and sold everywhere. This instrument is hand made and signed by Rodriguez when he had a shop in Los Angeles on 3rd Street near La Cienega. With a cedar top, Indian Rosewood back and sides, and individually adjustable saddles for each string, this is a rare 40-year old "new" classical guitar made by one of Spain's greatest living guitar makers of the 20th century. price: $4000 UGC34547

1912 Salvador Ibanez: One of the legendary Spanish luthiers was Salvador Ibanez. He apprenticed to the great guitar makers at age 11. In 1870 he started his own company, making bandurrias, lutes, six and nine-string guitars and also guitars with detachable necks. In 1897 he made the world's first double-necked guitar. When he died in 1920 his workshop continued to be managed by his two sons until it was completely destroyed during the Spanish Civil War (1936-1939) in a bloody street fight, which cost the lives of many of the personnel. Julian Bream has played a Salvador Ibáñez guitar. Eric Clapton has owned several, one of which was sold at auction for $42,000! This instrument has the unmistakable tone of a true Spanish guitar. With hard case. $4500 Stock#UGB30406 photo

Used German Vasquez Rubio flamenca blanca: G.V. Rubio (aka German Vasquez R.) guitars are made in California, hand built by the master himself. G. V. Rubio hand selects  the quarter-sawn spruce top and impeccable Spanish cypress back and sides. The shellac finish is hand applied with precision a found in very few makers. The guitar features excellent volume, extremely responsive and open. The bass response is strong without being strident, and the trebles are clear and crisp. A fine instrument that features extremely playable action too. With hard case. $2100 Stock#UGB29832 PHOTO BUY NOW

Used Fabio Schmidt Concor 5220:   Fabio Schmidt was born in Milan and studied luthiery at the "Civica Scuola di Liuteria" in 2004 under the masters Tiziano Rizzi, Lorenzo Lippi and Gabriele Negri. In 2007 he apprenticed with the master Roberto De Miranda. In February 2010 his guitar captured the first prize at the " Guitar Symposium Competition in Columbus (USA). " Although inspired by the Spanish tradition, he builds each instrument with the needs of the player in mind. His instruments, especially this one exhibit a warm, big and powerful sound with an instant response. This particular guitar represents an opportunity for a player to acquire an instrument before the make becomes world recognized and his prices escalate into the heady atmosphere that the "big names" in classical guitar making command. With hard case. $2150 Stock#UGC34195
