Martin - Standard :
  ca. 1880 Martin 1-21

UGB30325 Not only a collectable treasure, but a sweet sounding guitar as well. This diminutive Spruce and Rosewood guitar sounds just about as mellow and sweet as they come. With its herringbone rosette, and the old style German made slot head tuning machines,it is an extremely desirable guitar. Only slightly blemished by the repaired top fissure at the seam, the sound is totally unaffected, and the guitar still produces that wonderful combination that Martin quality, top grade woods and age can provide. A real sweetheart. With gigbag

Martin 00-18

This 60 year old Martin is a living example of the benefits of a vintage guitar. Showing some honest wear, as well as a few nicks and scratches, the calling card of this instrument lies in its tone. An it has plenty of extremely impressive tone as well as projection and clarity. If ever a guitar could sing, this would be the one. If your heart doesn't skip a few beats after playing a few notes, then you need to have a talk with your cardiologist. A lovely example of the art and tradition of C.F. Martin and Company. With hard case.

Martin 000-28

Every once in a while, we receive a guitar that has our jaws dropping to our chests in awe. This is one of those rare, and getting harder to find examples. A 1946 Martin 000-28. As those who appreciate older Martin guitars know, 1946 was the last year of the herringbone purfling (before it was re-issued on the HD-28 some 40 years later). That exquisite little piece of inlaid wood marked the end of what some consider the "Golden Age" of instrument making. (For us, it means the year before our brother Steve was born). The Spruce top has taken on that golden tone that reminds us of the golden tones found inside the guitar. The back & sides are of that precious and wonderful Brazilian Rosewood. There is plenty of verbiage available regarding the choice between, Coco-Bolo, Madagascar Rosewood, "stump wood", Jacaranda, etc. , but the stuff that keeps our halos glowing and rotating is the straight grained, orange-brown stuff of the older Martin guitars. Tonally superior to all others in our opinion. There were only 134 model 000-28 made in 1946, and who knows how many have survived (we have seen only three 1946 000-28 models since 1971). Those that already have one of these wonderful and rare treasures know what a gem they have. For the rest of us, this may be the only chance to obtain something so rare and wonderful. The guitar is in fine shape, having had some overspray approximately 15 years ago, all else appears to be original except for recent neck set and new saddle. With hard shell case.

Martin OM-28GE

NGB21907 Years from now, when players and collectors are discussing the "Golden Age" of luthiery, they may have to refer to them as Golden Age I and Golden Age II. The early Golden Age (from approx. 1927 to 1942) was an era that saw many of the classic designs become recognized examples of high quality guitar making. From 1984 to the present, guitar makers have re-invented the art of guitar making, often referring to the original designs. The Martin OM-28GE, is just such an instrument. Taking the original early '30s 14 fret OM design characteristics and marrying it to modern techniques to bring forth an instrument that will be recognized as the epitome of the luthier's art. The use of the hallowed Adirondack Spruce top, along with the fast disappearing Brazilian Rosewood back & sides, is an excellent start. Inside the guitar of course, Martin used the original "high X" scalloped bracing. The tone is just what you'd expect from an instrument that is one of the most sought after models in the Martin line. The neck is the perfect 1 3/4" wide at the nut and is carved to the vintage V shape. Here's a chance to own a guitar which will provide several lifetimes of pure playing pleasure. With hard case.
