ca. 1950s Macaferri "T.V. Pal" Soprano: (exc) Mario Macaferri, famous in musical instrument circles as the genius behind the Selmer guitars, such as the one played by Django Reinhardt, emigrated to the U.S. where he set up a plastics manufacturing company, producing, among other things, the first plastic clothes pins. He soon found that he missed the world oof stringed instruments and launched a division that made guitars and ukuleles out of plastic. The main difference between his work and others was that his sounded good! The T.V. Pal ukes came in a variety of "bowling ball" swirl finishes. This pristine example is as collectable as they come. 1960s Martin Style O Soprano (VG)  A sweet, sweet sounding Martin 'plain jane' ukulele that's now 40 years old or so. We say "or so" because Martin ukes are difficult to date since the majority of them have no serial numbers. But the tuning pegs are definitely original and definitely '60s. If you have yet to experience the joyous sound of an all mahogany Martin uke such as this one, be sure you go and hear Janet Klein, the ukulele chanteuse when she gives a concert in your area. Janet can  show you just how wonderful a Martin uke such as this one can sound. Or you can get this little sweetheart for yourself and play along with her record. With chipboard case $600 Stock#UUB26169* photo

1951 Martin Style 0 Soprano (exc-)  We have made a discovery, and we're sure we're not the first to do so: The Martin all mahogany ukes are superior sounding to just about any other vintage uke you will find. C.F. stumbled a bit with the very first generation, which thankfully did not last very long. The ukulele was redesigned and Martin began to produce the fine sounding versions that we now find. This one? As good a sounding instrument as you will ever hear. With bag $700Stock#UUB26641 photo

Just In! 1960’s Martin Model 51 Baritone (Exc) All mahogany construction and a 20 1/8” scale give this big uke that warm, silky smooth tone that’s sooo... perfect for chord melody style playing. New! Martin 5K Soprano The 1930’s vintage 5K is one of the rarest and most desirable ukes ever made. This special edition reissue from Martin is a worthy successor to the original. It is built from highly figured koa and is trimmed with abalone front and back. It has exquisite mother of pearl and abalone inlays in it’s fingerboard and peghead that are reminiscent of the designs used by Martin on their guitars. This little jewel has a very sweet voice and reminds us once again that Martin builds some of the finest stringed instruments in the world. With hard case Stock# NUB25960 photo
