Billy Stewart was born in the late 1940's in Texas. He left Texas in the 60's to surf Southern California and never went back. He settled in Encinitas CA by the end of the 60's, and has been creating art and one-of-a-kind construction projects for lucky locals ever since. Another artist of nearly all mediums, Billy is as at home with oil and canvas as he is with woods and metals. Check out his "Big Green Blues Machine" for a fine example of his inventive sculpture. A major contributor to the 101 Artists Colony since 2002, Billy has helped countless Encinitas artists gain a foothold in the great coastal community.
