Martin 000-18 Yes, this is a 52 year old Martin 000-18, and yes, it has that sound. Beyond that, a host of well meaning players/repairmen have had their way with her. Most noticeable of course, is the homemade refinish job that clothed its body in the early '60s. Thankfully, unlike the majority of home repair jobs, this new clear coat was not applied too thickly, so that the wood continues to vibrate and produce the soothing tones that Martins are famous for. The rest of the guitar is very serviceable, and a professional neck set by Mr. James Hood has made it right. Priced to entice you to own a fine sounding instrument and have a little coin left over to put towards the mortgage, or a new banjo. (OK, so we went a little crazy there for a second).
