PRS Modern Eagle II Red Tiger: The original PRS Modern Eagle has always been one their most acclaimed and highly sought after models and the Modern Eagle II is an elegant update of that winning formula. The curly maple top is premium grade, as is the special ligtweight mahogany back and the Modern Eagle frets and wide-fat neck carve have been retained. New to the mix is the use of black rosewood for the neck and fingerboard, which are finished in such a way that the finish goes down into the grain and can be buffed out. JUST IN!! 2000 PRS Singlecut Amber ~~~ PRE-LAWSUIT MODEL ~~~: In 1998 PRS released the Singlecut, a model that the folks at Gibson thought resembled the Les Paul. A lawsuit resulted and PRS was forced to stop production of the Singlecut in 2001, however the suit was reversed by the courts and production resumed in 2005 and continues today. That said, there are players out there that feel that the pre-lawsuit have a certain magic quality to them. Whether or not you believe that to be true, this very nice example from 2000 would certainly attest to that statement. With it's glowing amber finish, this beauty features a gorgeous carved flame maple top on solid mahogany back, mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard and PRS birds inlay, nickel hardware including wraparound stopbar tailpiece, vintage-style tulip tuning machines and a pair of PRS #7 pickups with 3-way toggle selector switch and individual volume and tone controls. The 25" scale length adds a bit of tension to the strings giving the low notes more snap and definition and a slightly thicker high end.
