SOLD OUT - MORE ON THE WAY!!!

Traditional Dreadnought

Used Goodall TMhDC: (exc) Stand back! This one will blow your socks off! For those who don't wear socks, every hair will stand on end. Not only is this one of the most appealing visual sights even created, the sound is more than impressive. James Goodall has taken the traditional dreadnought design and add his own special touches to create a fabulous guitar worthy of Bluegrass pickers, blues players, and even fingerstyle enthusiasts. If you are one of those who visit this page regularly (yes, we know you're out there), you know that the Trad -dreadnought guitars from Mr. Goodall are scarce these days. Why, because those that have them will not give them up, and Mr. Goodall does not have a large factory cranking out 50+ guitars a day. Enough of the background, let's talk about the guitar. James has taken his "Traditional dreadnought" design and dressed it up with full herringbone purfling bordered in curly Maple and added a herringbone rosette. A 'tortise' pickguard is in place, giving the guitar that full on vintage styling. The fretboard is adorned with the traditional slotted diamond and squares inlay pattern with the headstock surrounded by Maple binding and individual nickel Waverly tuning machines with ivoroid buttons. Very visually appealing of course, but the best is yet to come. Inside we find the hand shaped scalloped bracing which supports the top, yet does not constrict its movement. The result is ear-shattering volume and projection that is rich, with huge bass, magnificent trebles, and, as only James can, creamy smooth mid-range. We could go on for pages and pages of description about this wonderful guitar, but we must reserve some room for discussion of the fine Goodall guitars listed below.
