New! Froggy Bottom K Deluxe : An exceptionally beautiful instrument from Mr. Millard and his associates in Vermont. For those unfamiliar with Froggy Bottoms model designations, a K model is what the rest of us recognize as the small jumbo. Not so large that the sound seems to never come out of the box, as with some other makers small jumbos, yet having that deep body where the sound wells up inside and springs forth is ear pleasing tones. The body is 4 1/4" deep at the bottom bout, and that's where the richness of tone come from. The top is master grade Adirondack, while the back and sides show more figure than you would expect in a guitar made in Vermont of Koa wood. The Koa is spectacular in every way. It is mind boggling to try and figure out how somebody in Vermont can obtain Koa that those closer to the state of Hawaii can only dream about. The entire body is bound in Vermont flame Maple which is a beautiful offset to the Koa. The Ebony fingerboard is inlaid with abalone shell diamonds.
