1963 Fender Stratocaster Faded 3-Tone Sunburst: Judging by the faded finish this one's spent some time in the sun! Although currently it appears to have a 2-tone finish this one actually started life as a 3-tone with evidence of the original finish visible under the pickguard. The maple neck has a comfortable "C" shape and the rosewood fingerboard retains the original frets. The tone pots have been replaced but the pickups are the original single coils. Bottom line....this is killer! With original hard shell case. Buffalo Bros price: $14,500 Stock 3UGC34753. photo
1964 Fender Stratocaster Olympic White: It's amazing to think about how much music had changed in the relatively short span between 1954 and 1964. Rock and roll had come to stay and along with it the solidbody electric guitar. Meanwhile, Leo Fender and his cohort George Fullerton were continually aiming to improve the Stratocaster, a model that some feel is the perfect marriage of design and functionality. This example from 1964 is finished in Olympic white that's aged too a gorgeous cream color and the comfy "C" shape maple neck is topped with a laminate rosewood fingerboard. The pickups and 3-way switch are original, however the switch has died so the tone circuit is not currently working. The volume and tone pots have been replaced, but they have been tested by bypassing the original switch so the tone controls will function. With original hard shell case. Buffalo Bros price: $16,500 Stock #UGC34752. photo

JUST IN!! 1997 Fender California Series Stratocaster Black: During '97 and '98 the folks at Fender produced the California series of guitars in a effort to reduce production costs, maintain high quality and keep the instruments at an affordable price point. These guitars split production between the US and Mexico factories with the bodies painted south of the border while final assembly was done in the US plant. This example features a classic black finish, maple fingerboard and neck, chrome hardware including vintage-style 6-screw tremolo bridge, a pair of single-coil pickups in the neck and mid position and hot humbucker at the bridge, 3-ply white/black/white pickguard, 5-way selector switch, volume and two tone controls. Definitely geared for the working player, this Fender California Series Stratocaster plays killer and has a broad range of tonal options to suit just about any style of music. With hard shell case. 1957 Fender Telecaster: In 1957 Dwight Eisenhower was president and Leo Fender had been building guitars for 12 years. Country pickers were starting to trade their big acoustic boxes for one of those solid body ee-lectrical guitars out of California. The Fender Telecaster was seen in the hands of almost every country star that strode across the Grand Ol' Opry stage. The standard Telecaster had a blonde finish and a Maple neck just as this one does. The original selling price was a fraction of the price of a new car, or pickup truck. 1957 automobiles bring about the same price Today as this Fender Telecaster. Original right down to the screws in the pickguard, this is a highly desirable treasure from the past. With hard case. $18,000 Stock#UGC34768 photo
1967/68 Fender Telecaster: Now here's a workhorse! In the '70s it was quite common for players to remove the finish from their guitars so that the wood could breath and resonate better. The remnants of the original blonde finish can still be seen in the grain of the ash. Also common back then (and today for that matter) is having pickups changed or added. At one point the body was routed to accommodate a humbucker in the neck position and probably a strat single-coil in the middle position. The maple neck has a date stamp of 3NOV67B and has had the original frets replaced with jumbo frets. It's clear that this was someone's longtime roadhouse rocker with a look, feel and sound that can only be produced by an instrument that's spent its life on the bandstand. With hard shell case. Buffalo Bros price: $4000 Stock #UGC34720.
2007 Fender Custom Shop '55 Telecaster Relic White Blonde: A few years back, Fender Custom Shop Senior Master Builder Chris Fleming set out to create a replica of his personal 1955 Telecaster. This is essentially a team built version of the guitar and features a lightweight ash body with white blonde finish, one-piece maple neck with soft "V" profile near the nut that gracefully blends into a "U" shape as you move up toward the 12th fret. The pickups were custom wound for this model with a Broadcaster style pickup at the bridge that has a killer bite to its attack. Only 100 of these beauties were made and even includes a nicely aged tweed hard shell case. Buffalo Bros price: $4250 Stock #UGC34771. photo
1996 Fender Telecaster MIM Grey Krinkle: Check this baby out! Custom grey krinkle finish, maple neck, chrome hardware, single coil pickup at the neck and Seymour Duncan mini-humbucker at the bridge. This '96 Fender Telecaster is a screamin' rock-n-roll machine! With gig bag. Buffalo Bros price: $350 Stock #UGB34827. photo
Used Fender Telecaster MIM "Vintage aged" black: There is a fellow out in California who, if you ask him, will turn your new Mexican made Fender guitar into a vintage appearing relic from the past. What he does is quite remarkable considering that you can't just tie the guitar to your bumper and drive down a gravel road and have it look authentic. We met this young fellow at a recent guitar show and brought back a bunch of these unique instruments. This black finish Tele with the maple neck has just the right amount of wear in the right places. Just enough to make it look real cool. The Fender decal on the peghead reads "Broadcaster". Oh yes, we know that Fender has been doing the same thing for a few years now, but this one won't cost you several thousand dollars. With gig bag. $400 Stock#UGB34802. photo
2002 Fender Telecaster MIM Black: ... or perhaps you'd like one that's just a bit aged... well here's one with lightly distressed black finish, maple neck and fingerboard, tortoise pickguard. Buffalo Bros price: $400 Stock #UGB34805. PHOTO
