New! Danelectro Dead-On '67 Hornet Electric Guitar: This new model from Danelectro was in part inspired by Pete Townshend's original 1967 Coral Hornet. The body contours are vintage correct. Fit and finish is superb. Neck to body fit is SUPER tight. Neck is a comfortable "D"-shaped with 21 vintage frets, nut width is 1.750”, fretboard radius is 14”, scale length is 24.75". Electronics include USA Alpha control pots, "hotter" Lipstick pickups (hum-canceling when both on), 2 volume and 2 tone controls with 3 way toggle. Adjustable truss rod works nicely. Fretwork is top notch. Plays excellent everywhere on the neck. Unplugged it rings out LOUD strung with 10-46 set. Plugged in it sounds GREAT. Full, loud, useful musical tones. The tremelo works well aided by the perfectly straight string alignment from bridge to tuners, well seated and cut nut, and tight, smooth tuners. And yes, the bridge with rosewood saddle intonates just fine. Excellent looking matte finish with brushed nickel hardware. Weighs in at a very comfortable 5 lbs. 14 oz.. They even nailed the unique swirly "Reflective Stylized" pickguard of the originals. Shielded electronics and a heavier bridge plate. (MSRP $399) Buffalo Bros price: only $349!
