G&L USA Basses

Used G&L ASAT Semi-Hollow Bass Three Tone Sunburst:  It's rare we ever get a Semi-Hollow ASAT Bass back in trade as no one ever wants to let them go!  This beauty has the semi-hollow "F" hole in a beautiful three tone sunburst finish.  The satin Maple neck has a Rosewood fingerboard with a 1-1/2" nut and 12" radius.  Of course, the main reason players go for the G&L bass of this design is for the thundering sound of the twin MFD humbuckers and the array of the Tri-Tone active/passive electronics with series/parallel mini-toggle, preamp off/on/on and of course the treble and bass boost/cut knobs.   This is one bass that comes to life the moment you plug it in!  So check out this "light weight" baby that's complete with the hardcase too!  $950.  Stock #UGB22211

1983 G&L Lynx Black: We cannot remember when we last had a Lynx bass!  We've always found them to be ultra cool in looks and even more cool in tone!  Why do we like the Lynx so much?  Because of the almost "SC" like shape and simple controls. Single three way switch handles twin MFD single coils.  Black crinkle control plate with single volume and tone control.  Black crinkle saddle lock bridge.  Of course it's an Ebony fingerboard too!  Comes with a non-original hardcase.  $1,200.  Stock #UGB30952 photo

1984 G&L SB-1 First Generation Black: The "Blackie" of bass guitars. A handsome combination of a black finished body with a pure Maple neck and fretboard. This example has been very nicely maintained and is in terrific condition for a now 25 year-old bass. With gig bag. $850 Stock#UGB28197 photo BUY NOW

1985 G&L SB-1 Second Generation Sunburst: This is a 2nd generation SB-1 that came out in 1985 and is one of the earliest built at it sports a Schaller PBX pickup dated 12/1984.  This was a Dale Hyatt design and he elected to change the 1st generation SB-1 from a single bi-pole MFD to a split coil P-Bass variation as Leo Fender had not yet designed a split coil MFD.  Dale had Helmut Schaller ship him over the PBX pickup and made a running change.  It was short lived (and thus quite rare to find) as Leo Fender quickly designed and produced a MFD Split Coil that appeared later in 1985.  This bass also has a superb lacquer Sunburst finish. The original single ply black pickguard had a crack ~ but we have retained it in an envelope which includes the large copper shielding plate for collectors ~ and replaced it with an original SB-1 pickguard that was modified to fit the PBX and adjust to the hole pattern of the original.  This is an EXCELLENT sounding bass.  The maple neck is very comfortable to play and is simply another fine example of the multi-faceted designs of the founds of G&L ~ Leo Fender, George Fullerton and Dale Hyatt.  $1200  Stock #UGB31582

New! Fleabass Model 32 Punk Bass:  When Michael Balzary aka Flea from the Red Hot Chili Peppers decided to start the non profit music school, the Silverlake Conservatory of Music, he knew he wanted to teach kids the love of music, and in particular, bass guitar.  Fleabass is not a "licensed product".  It is its own company with its eyes on the future with sustainability in mind.  In his words: " (To create a bass) THAT IS NOT A TOY THAT BREAKS AND HAS LOUSY INTONATION, AND HAS AWKWARD ACTION, LIKE SO MANY CHEAP BASSES I HAVE ENCOUNTERED WITH YOUNG MUSIC STUDENTS
BUT IS A SERIOUS INSTRUMENT THAT PLAYS BEAUTIFULLY AND THAT WILL ONLY GET BETTER WITH TIME
AND LOOKS COOL AS HELL."  I agree.  They play SO GOOD!  Pickups are Musicman inspired but with a bit more of a Jazz Bass flavor.  If you don't like the Green w/ Pink, check out the website www.fleabass.com for the other color options. Also available in a 30" short scale, for slightly less!  List price $699 Call for the Low Low Buffalo Bros Price!! Stock#NGC30985 PHOTO
