JUST IN!! Used Collings I-35 Deluxe ~ NAMM MODEL ~ Natural Flame Top! (EXC) This guitar is simply stunning ~ but before we go into a million reasons why this guitar is awesome, let's talk about NAMM. The fine folks at Collings have built a well deserved reputation for having the highest quality, fit, finish and tone. But when they go to NAMM they somehow seem to figure out a way to go a step further! Our shop has a lot of guitars that folks would term a "distraction" to seeing the rest of the store. This Collings is impossible to pass by, and once in your hand impossible to stop playing. Resonant semi-hollow mahogany body with a carved flame maple top with tortoise binding is the first thing that grabs your eye. The lacquer finish is elegant over the tone woods, and as you gaze down upon twin Lollar humbuckers with their ivoroid pickup rings and matching knobs ~ you can feel the mojo emanating from this beauty. As your hand grasps the mahogany neck with the Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and peghead overlay it just feels "right." Now you plug it in. Holy Mother of Ivoroid. The tone off this is incredible. From thick tones to smooth silky highs to clean ~ the instrument reacts to every setting, every adjustment and begs to sing for you. The Sperzel tuners with the Ivoroid buttons complete the classy look this guitar has. After about 20 minutes of playing it's impossible to set it down. The neck is easy playing, fits the hand like a glove and every fret perfect. By 30 minutes, I'm wondering if I can talk my wife into this! But alas, we do try to keep the cool guitars for our customers! So do yourself a favor, get in your car, drive on down and plug this gem into a Carr Amplifier or any of the other great amps we have and snuggle up to it! With hardcase. $5250.
